Does the other party need to appear in court in case summon issued

I filed complaint against some one who physically abused me later we settled now he has got summon from court. do i also have to go there or without me settlement can be done if he agrees and apologies?

No without your appearance con't be close the complaint process don't worry you have to fallow up that are should connect with any advocate they're help you ..if anything things happens they insist you

You have to apppear through the advocate n give ib a writing n memo of settlement to the courif the offence is compoundable then ur will settle the matteer if iit not compoundable then u have ro with dra

U have to appear before court since charge sheet is filed in court u have to go to court and since it is bailable cognizable court ask both party to settle issue and case can be compromised in court so u have to go court
