Does pending case affect getting a govt job

17-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Sir/Mam, I have been wrongly framed by a woman due to her personal enmity with my masi u/s 354A/509/323-34. Although my name is not in the FIR as she didn't know my name, I applied for anticipatory bail in the Rohini court, which got dismissed by the ASJ, and now she knows my name and address. Soon I will appeal to high court. Few months back, my masi had filed the similar charges against the male members of the complainant's family. Now they are seeking revenge. I have cleared my SSC CGL exams and my documents verification is next month. What should I do? Is my job safe? Shall I tell the SSC about the case on my verification day? Would SSC cancel my candidature?

If chargesheet has not filed, it won't affect ur job but u need to mention in ur verification form. Better u file quashing as well as bail before High Court and if the matter get quashed against you, u will be safe but once chargesheet filed you will not be able to join govt job. So be quick

Its very surprising that you got a wrong legal advice as there was absolutely no requirement of applying for anticipatory bail as your name was not in the FIR. You have just invited problems for yourself. Usually there is a format in the Government Departments in which they enquire about litigations or any legal matter pending against you. So while filling up those forms, you should be extra careful. Since your name is not in the FIR, you need not to be worried about your job but if your name is there or added afterwards in the FIR, then it will definitely affect your promotions.

first of all it the place u mentioned is your permanent place if not than no issue but during police verification it is not clear that u are accuse so than also it is not your duty to decide this as this case has been extended by u only by providing all details in the court so wait for high court nothing else so dont endorse any thing in verification as case has fixed u till date so need not to worry.

Dear Sir,

Please note that until you've been named in the FIR and/or you've been charge-sheeted in a case, there is no criminal case pending against you.

Please approach a legal professional and clear your doubts which lead you to believe that there's a criminal case pending against you.

As such, there is no impediment and no declaration of any sort is required at this stage.

Regards
