Dental negligence and malpractice

A doctor misinformed me about a procedure, forcefully operated on me and damaged all my front teeth. I am going through huge dental sensitivity and teeth damage. I want to take a legal action against the doctor. This incident happened in 2017. Please suggest me how to proceed?
if there is medical negligence on the part of the Doctor then you may file a consumer case before the district Consumer Commission of the district and seek compensation against the doctor for his deficiency in service.
