Denieal to return borrowed money

I had lent 4 lakhs via credit card to one known person. Now that person is neither picking the call nor answering messgaes. How can i recover that money.
Dear Sir,
You may approach Police and try to visitor cheating case otherwise atleast get an undated cheque for the amount with interest with the help of Police. On the basis of credit entries you cannot recover the amount in civil way. If cheque is bounced then it will be a criminal case without any court fees and chances of recovery are more.
