Concerned about Suicidal online partner

29-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I am in an online relationship with a person (never met physically). The person had financial problems so I helped out. Partner generally stays depressed therefore I gave depression hotline number. Now,due to covid i can't help properly financially due to difficulties. This has put her into depression. Now,my question is,in case of drastic step, will I be in problem for abetment of suicide? I am concerned.

Well, what you are asking is asking in general. In your case, I need to understand your whole case and the circumstances in which you denied her from paying the money. You need one to one consultation.

If you have done something that added to her depression then you may be considered as an accused. But as she has not taken any extreme step then you have a duty to report about her mental conditions to her family or you may urgently need to secure yourself legally before anything happens. Immediately contact an advocate of your choice, u may also talk to me.
