Going straightaway for quashing of FIR would not be a smart idea. I would rather suggest you go for revision of the cognisance order in sessions court. You may discuss with me in detail. I suggest you remain prepared for discussion with all your documents handy.

If you have strong evidence in your favour that you have not done any criminal act then you can surely go to High court for quashing of the FIR. There are many landmark judgements of SC where it is clearly ruled that just merely to put pressure on the opposite party , complaint cannot file criminal case whereas the suit is of civil nature

You can always apply for the quashing of the FIR at any stage of your trial. But it's advisable for you to apply for the same before your trial begins to avoid the changes that happen during trials. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
