Caught while drinking in public

Hi I'm 20 years old and was caught drinking in public place. I've been bailed by my friend from the station and currently have to go to court to pay a fine of the amount unknown.
I seek advice on how to proceed with this situation.
what you have been caught for is not such a serious offence if you havent been charged for nuisance or any other offence. you should hire a lawyer for the court date and be present along with your surety

As you know drinking in public creates nuisance and is therefore punishable by the law. Public drinking may not be a common site in India; however has become a simpler way to drink for youngsters.
Consuming alcohol at public places will attract a fine of ₹5,000 and if the offender creates nuisance than the fine shall be up to ₹10,000 with a jail term of three months.
