Gopal Verma is a quintessential lawyer and carries just a couple of pages on which he has made a few jottings. Gopal Verma’s USP is that he instinctively knows the one point that will appeal to the Judges and he will home in on that. When you go to Gopal Verma for a conference, he will poke through the papers, asking you seemingly random questions in a seemingly interested manner. All the while, Gopal Verma is looking for that one “magic” point that will catch the Judge's attention. When he gets hold of that “magic” point, he will start his argument with that knowing that if that strong point does not convince the Judges, nothing else will. He puts the point across with such force and conviction, that it usually sways the Judges. Gopal Verma believes that the Indian Legal System is highly complex, yet there are extremely simple solutions.

Questions Answered by Advocate Gopal Verma
Q: What is the maximum working hours in india for private companies ?
What is the maximum working hours in india for private companies as per law.... Can i go to court if my boss says to stretch timings? what is the law for private job timing ?
Advocate Gopal Verma answered
I have seen in many cases that employees in private sector often have to work overtime, past their working hours to increase productivity and company's target. According to Minimum Wages Act, 1948 specifies about the working hours under the rule 20 to 25 that the number of work hours in a day should not exceed 9 hours for an adult. Please understand that in private sector the working hours and timings are stipulated by the employer in company's HR policy drafted accordance with the overtime rules in India. You can file a case against your boss if he or she stretch timings and also claim overtime. GOPAL VERMAADVOCATE ON RECORDSUPREME COURT OF INDIA

Q: Matrimonial Case transfer from hyderabad
I want my matrimonial case to be get transferred to delhi saket court or UP aligarh
Advocate Gopal Verma answered
You can file an Transfer Petition in Supreme Court of India. Section 25 of the Code of Civil Procedure enables the Supreme Court to transfer any Case, appeal or other proceedings from High Court or other civil court in one State to a High Court or other civil court in any other State. This power may be exercised by the Supreme Court if it is satisfied that an order under this Section is expedient for the ends of justice. Hence wide powers are given to the Supreme Court to order a transfer if it feels that the ends of justice so require. I will help you. Q: Regarding SLP admission rejected
Hi sir, last Monday we tried for an SLP admission and it was rejected in the 2 judges bench.i was informed by my lawyer that one judge accepted the admission and one judge rejected that and finally it got rejected. Can I see the further details on the supreme court website? Is there any chances for SLP to get admitted after this?
Advocate Gopal Verma answered
You can definitely see on the Supreme Court website. There are many cases in which there are chances for SLP to get admitted again. Please understand this depends on many other circumstances. In India, a binding decision of the Supreme Court/High Court can be reviewed in Review Petition. The parties aggrieved on any order of the Supreme Court on any apparent error can file a review petition. Taking into consideration the principle of stare decisis, courts generally do not unsettle a decision, without a strong case. You may contact my assistant to connect with me for clarification. NEET PG results are out on the 31/01/2019 and many students including me have found out to our horror that we have been fraudulently given low marks with some of them getting a difference of at least 150 marks. So we have decided to file a PIL against NBE so that further process of NEET PG 2019 are stopped until the addressal of the core issue.

I can understand problem of aggreived students problem in this regard. This is stressful for all those students who have worked hard for the exams. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test result was declared yesterday. Fundamental rights of the students are violated and legal options are always available for them. You might know as per the Regulation 9 (IV) of PG Medical Education Regulations, the reservation of PG seats in medical colleges for respective categories shall be as per the applicable laws of UTs and states and a state-wise & an all-India merit list of the eligible candidates shall be prepared on the basis of marks scored by them in NEET-PG. All the aggrieved students can come together and join hands to take appropriate direction from the Supreme Court of India in this regard.
