Respected sir , Few months ago my uncle tried to murder my father. So my father put some criminal charges against my uncle family. Now they're pleading to us to lift up the cases so we agreed to it but we put some rules against them . But the problem is now they're asking how much time will it take to lift up those criminal charges. So i would like to know how much time will it take to lift up those charges The sections are - 341, 323, 354, 506, 114.

lifting those charges ought not to take more than a months time if you decide to knock the doors of the Hon'ble High Court with a joint compromise petition. this is not to preclude you from exploring the option of getting the proceeding dropped by making an application for compounding the offences. this would again depend on the trial courts functioning, the stage of the trial etc.

you can ask the other party to the case to get the case quashed in high court u/s 482 CrPC and your advocate can not object to it. as these offences are non compoundable in nature, the only way is to get is quashed from high court.

Charges can be lifted in one day to hundred days, it all depends on the litigants and the prosecution. Since a criminal matter is represented by the prosecution there are some procedural point to take care of before the charges can be lifted. As such you can contact me for better guidance in the matter
