Can we file a complaint of murder which happened 28 years ago

My mother was murdered 28 years ago by my uncles when I was 4 years old but somehow they managed to escape from law and they still roaming around freely sometimes they threatens my father also can I file a complaint against them after almost 30 years

Well, you can still lodge a case against them, however, you need to justify the reasons for filing such complaint so late! Moreover, you need to have evidences against your uncles that they killed or murdered your mother.

If you have proof , You can register an FIR with the respective police station , if police is not taking the matter seriously then you can directly approach the court and file an application to register an FIR against your uncle that they are involved in the murder of your mother .

Yes, you can file a police complaint even after 30 years of the alleged murder. Since murder is a serious criminal offence that does not have any statute of limitations. There is no time limit for murder cases

If there are any proof of the same, you can file the complaint of murder. However, if the current problem is that your uncles zre threatening your father, then you may file complaint against your uncles for threatening your father.
