Police can't cancel FIR if it registered on the direction of the court... bt Police have to submit the investigation report in the court , then the court may direct for cancellation of the FIR or for trial of the accused as the case may be....

Yes police can file cancellation report but it is up to magistrate to accept that report or not. Magistrate has power to continue with the case and treat that cancellation report as Final Challan and conclude the trial of case..

Police can cancel the case in final report( FR). Investigation of Police goes in another direction.
Therefore it can be cleared with the details of ur case. It depends how FIR lodged e.g. in 156(3) or in 154 ? What are the charges so it can be consulted for better and proper advice

For want of details on the nature of the case, at random I can only opine that police is no absolute authority to decide whether the case can succeed in court on the basis of evidence to be produced. Therefore, you will have to make out a fool-proof case on the basis of evidence in your favour and approach criminal court for prosecution of your res.
