can police become witness in a criminal case (if there is no witness)

under the section 420 ,120B ,66D my brother has charged. in charge sheet police has written many false things against my brother which is not true and there is no witness in this case so one of investing officer ( earlier demanded for bribe from us) become witness of the case while he can be impartial towards the truth so has he right to become witness of the case or can his statement use against my brother . will it consider valid in court .

hello client as you are saying is correct . police is not at all truth feveoring ever . in ur matter you nees to be vary carefull as your brother is not at all going to get fevour of the police so we need to gett tye things done in the manner tht police do not hold the key of ur brother case.

Firstly police official can be a witness.

Secondly, he was an investigating officer in your brother’s case, therefore he needs to be a witness.

However, your brother is an accused and he is the only witness so far, therefore this will help you in leading the defence.
You have to be quite smart while leading the evidence

Yes police can become witness in the case if anything happens in front of him
Or he has evidences of he being the witness ..however if he has done it with Mala fide intention then during cross examination your advocate will handle it ...rest I need more details to assist u ...b in touch
