Brought 2 liquor bottles from Goa for self use

28-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
We bought 2 liquor bottles in Goa and carried them to Hyderabad through Bus transport. The shop in Goa gave us excuse letter to carry 2 liters of liquor per head, we believed and we thought it's legal to carry, but the Hyderabad police catched it and now they kept 34(a) TSE act 1968 case and asking to come to court hearing then asking us to tell it as false case If it is not legal to carry, why goa shop keepers are giving fake exception slips that too with extra money How to come out of case ?

In Goa, transporting alcohol especially by bus is subject to both Goa's permit rules and the laws of the destination state. While Goa may allow you to get a permit to carry bottles out of the state, many other states may not recognize that permit or might impose their own limits. Always check the alcohol transport regulations of the state you're heading to before carrying bottles out of Goa.
