Breach of Trust by Friend who took my car and never returned

Hi, My friend has cheated me and took my car for a day but never returned it back.I have sent him a Notice also but he has not responded to that positively.
How I can get my car/car amount back from him legally and quickly?
FYI, He fled to Dubai and now in Dubai.So plese consider this fact also.
File the complaint before jurisdiction police and if they refuse give copy of complaint get acknowledge for copy, if they fail to take action goahead with approaching court filing private complaint report.
secondly, stop paying emi( might effect on cibil score) , bank authority will take possession of car finding it.
better you go with two options also because the condition of vehicle may be worsen now, so you can settle for some amount in future.

The easy way to get the car is to approach poli ce and get seize the car and if you have vehicle documents in your name you can get the vehicle on interim custody either from police station or Magistrate court. better to lodge criminal complaint with police and see that vehicle is taken into your custody.
