About quash possible are not...

My wife filled 498a case on 11/12/2021 against me and my family members. 8/9/2023 IO filled chargesheet he show my family members are absconding. My brother in law was police constable his name also show absconding list. Is it valied are is it possible to quash?

hi first need to see the contents of the chargesheet and that the allegations mentioned in it and then based on that you could file quash petition it on the groumd that you were not connected to the allegations mentioned in the chargesheet

In the case of FIR, the accused can utilise the provision and seek relief from the High Court under section 482 of CrPC. For the quashing of FIR, the court will appreciate the facts of the case and if it finds that the injustice took place against the accused.
