Resignation from private company after four s of joining notice period

Dear sir/madam,
I have joined a company before 4 days but now I got my new job offer from govt department, so I want to leave this private job, notice period is not mention in my offer letter, I have not signed any other document. But now they are not giving me relieving, they are saying you have to serve, no notice period writen in offer letter.
Please help me
