client is not paying for the material delivered

Hi
I sent some material to my client 3 months back as per the PO sent my client. Payment terms was 30% adv, 70% at the time of Delivery. Now at delivery time, client was saying that he will pay in a day or 2.
but Even after regular followups, still the full amount was not paid by client even after 3 months of delivery. Now suddenly after 3 months , client is saying that the Material was short in Quantity and they will not pay for the short quantity.
Client is a Very Known MNC. Please advice what to do.

I have perused your query and would advise you to issue a strongly worded legal notice to the concerned directors of the company seeking your money within a stipulated time mentioned in the notice. Hey, for this matter, it seems that the client is a pvt ltd co and your claim is more then 1 lakhs. Would advise to file the matter before NCLT of appropriate jurisdiction for faster disposal in few months, a Sec 9 petition under IBC shall be filed. But before that a demand notice under Section 8 needs to be served to the opposite party. I am Advocate and a qualified CA and can help you with the same. Regards

the first and foremost question is whether you have take the advance 30 percent of money or not, the issue will arise for you in case you have not taken the advance money. because we have various similar matters where the company has refused to make any payment aginst such PO . send them legal notice in order to save time now.
