I have an idea to develop a book about a specific multimillion co.

18-Sep-2023 (In Trademark & Copyright Law)
I have an idea to develop a book about a specific multimillion company, but as I don't have a company myself and have no idea what the law is I would like to ask: What should I do to ensure that my idea will not be "stolen" by them when I present it to the company? (Worth mentioning is that the book cannot be made without using content from their website that they have all the copyrights for) But I would like to present to them my idea and either sell it to them or get involved with them and together make the book. Thank you

Hi,

You are going to write a book on a company - whether you have their consent/permission to do so? If not they can initiate proceedings against you for defamation etc. Assuming that they have given you their consent and the you want to protect your idea from third parties then you can register your idea with Copyright authorities and that will protect you.
