An objection is raised by the department under a 'distinctive' clause!

Registrar of trademarks raised an objection over an application for trademark registration. Objection is mentioned as : 1. The objection is raised under S 9(1) (a) of the Trade Marks Act 1999, as the mark is a non-distinctive and as such it is not capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one person from those of others. kindly provide some feedback is there any procedure of resolving this issue.

You need to file a reply to the said objections with substantial documentary evidence in order to satisfy those objections within 30 days from the date when you received the said First examination report otherwise your mark can be abandoned.
