What actions can be taken against unregistered land owned by me

we have a land and house on it constructed on 2000 by our grand father, we are paying house tax which are getting from local panchayat office since 18 years,in govt survey records our land plan was clearly mentioned but we dont have registration copies we have only white paper document which was signed by our neighbors at that time suddenly from last 1 year one of our back side owner is saying that 5 feet of your house is in our land, suggest what we need to do.
if you have a building permission/construction permission for your house, then that will reveal the land occupied and gram panchayat permission for construction, in case if you do not have then apply for the same.
