08-Mar-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Delay in Service. I had some malfunction with my phone. I had went to nearby service center for repair on 17.01.2017. they said it may take 15 days to 30 days. Even though it was quite long period I had accepted that . Now it had been nearly 2 months and still i didn't received my phone back. I notified them three times , they simply answer that parts stock are not available . Could i able to file a case against the company ?

Yes, you can file a consumer complaint before the District consumer forum for the Deficiency of service and the product. You may ask for a reasonable compensation for the mental agony and the difficulty you went through without using the phone, saying the purpose for which it was bought was not satisfied. Normally the compensation prayed for would be the 10X of the cost of the device + with the compensation for mental agony.

You can send a legal notice to the said mobile company service center .if your problem is not rectified you can approach the consumer forum for the said action and you can also claim for the compensation from the said company through consumer forum.

Hi,

Yes, you can file a case under Consumer Protection Laws. Issue a notice to them asking to repair the phone and handover within a period of time and failing which you may initiate appropriate legal action. If they didn't respond/act as per the notice, you can approach the consumer forum.
