Seeking Legal Advice for Service Deficiency and Contract Breach in IT

30-Nov-2024 (In Consumer Court Law)
I hired a web development company for an e-commerce project. Midway, the budget was escalated without formal documentation, and the deliverables were subpar, causing financial loss. Maintenance costs were misrepresented, adding to the strain. I have an agreement, invoices, and emails but lost informal chat records. Can I file a consumer court case for compensation, or is mediation better? Seeking advice on the strength of my case and next steps.
