Out-of warranty, recently serviced product blasted
30-Aug-2024 (In Consumer Court Law)
Bought a BePure water purifier in Jan 2021 (1yr warranty) at 16k. Repaired 2 weeks ago for a water leak, but didn’t use hot water feature till 2 days ago. On turning the hot water button, within few minutes, it exploded & caught fire, and it damaged my Modular kitchen. Is the company liable for this? Instead of replacement, they’re offering a discount on a new one (10k for a 16k product) . What should I do?
