If you have completed the project and if there is only delay in doing the same which has not affected the client monetarily or even otherwise then you need not worry. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.

Well, I can defend you, so that, FIR do not get lodged against you. Your's is a Civil Case, as your intent was not that you do not want to work. Your intent was in getting the work done within time, but somehow delay happened and it was beyond your control considering constant changing of demands from client. So, in this case, you do not worry, I can legally protect you.

Gather evidence of client delays and changes, including communications and project expenses. We can assist you in preparing a detailed report of work completed and materials used. We will also try to negotiate amicably or offer a settlement. If an FIR is filed, take legal assistance, as such disputes are usually civil unless fraud is alleged. Consider sending a legal notice to counter baseless refund claims.

As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, your client may or may not choose to file a complaint against you under the act with the appropriate District Consumer Forum. However, I would like to inform you that the Forum will always give you a fair opportunity to file a reply and will surely apply the test of reason and logic. I advise you to gather all the communication between you and the said client and file it with your reply within 45 days from receiving the complaint notice along with the complaint and it's accompanying documents.
