As per the Consumer Protection Act, a warranty is a contractual obligation, and the company must honor it transparently. Since the inverter has a 48-month warranty from the manufacturing date (Dec 2021), it remains valid until Dec 2025. If the warranty terms state free service for 48 months but chargeable spares after 24 months, the company can enforce this clause. However, if the policy is unclear or misleading, you can file a grievance with the Consumer Forum citing unfair trade practices. Lack of an invoice may affect claims, but the serial number can verify the manufacturing date. Contact the company's grievance cell first, then escalate if unresolved.
