False promises for timeshare purchase

25-Apr-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I was approached by Grand Hilton Vacations club for a demo of their membership plan. They gave me a boastful presentation showing me pictures of hotels and resorts that seemed quite enticing but after I purchased the package for 1.5 lacs, now nobody seems to know the names of those properties in their organization. They made several false promises for breakfast/lunch/dinner charges and also lead us (me and my wife) to believe that the package was for 7 nights per year which turned out to be 6 nights per once I got to know about the package. Can I approach consumer court for refund of my membership fees? I have their call records as well where they can be heard making these false and contradictory statements.

Yes you can approach the consumer commission by filing a written complaint alongwith all the relevant documents and seek refund of the membership fees and compensation. However you need to adduce evidence in support of your case

Yes. you can. but it is advisable that you should first slap them with a legal notice which should be in a detailed manner showcasing their liability. Give them 7 days time to either return your money alongwith the compensation. In case they don't, then file the complaint as courts prefer an opportunity given to opposite party to settle. That should suffice your requirement.
