Chit Company Payment Discrepancy - Seeking Resolution

I subscribed to a chit company's 40-month plan. Initially, they assured me that once I paid four months' worth of dues, they would release the chit amount, and I could pay the remaining amount in subsequent months. However, now, after I've paid all four months, they are inexplicably denying me this and stating doubts about trust. Additionally, they have not refunded the amount I've paid. They keep giving me various explanations. How should I proceed in this situation?

1. firstly send a letter to the chit company regarding your issue or queries through registered post with Acknowledgement card.
2. then wait for 15 days for any reply
3. if there is no reply or unsatisfactory reply, you can issue legal notice through an Advocate.
