Car dealer delaying the delivery of original documents

06-Nov-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Dear Team, I have purchased i20 from Fusion Hyundai on 9th September 2017. All the payment and delivery of the vehicle is also done with TR number. I am yet to find the original documents to do the registration while its been close to 2 months now. Let me know what steps I can take against the dealer regarding the same. Thanks.

Dear,

Send a legal notice to the dealer through a lawyer demanding the vehicle documents at the earliest say in 7 or 10 days. If even after the notice period, the dealer doesn't handover the documents to you, file a consumer complaint in the jurisdictional Consumer Forum against the dealer under whose jurisdiction the dealer has set up his office or works for profit or where the cause of action has arisen i.e., the place from where you have dealt with the dealer. If you need any further clarification, feel free to contact me.
