If money has been deducted through an unauthorised or disputed AutoPay mandate, you should immediately raise a written dispute with the payment app, your bank and the concerned payment service provider, and seek cancellation of the mandate and reversal of the debit. Preserve the transaction ID, debit statement, AutoPay/mandate details, screenshots and all complaint records. If the amount is not reversed despite timely reporting, the matter can be escalated through the applicable banking/payment grievance mechanism and, depending on the facts, appropriate proceedings may be initiated for recovery, compensation and deficiency in service. Do not share OTP, UPI PIN or banking credentials with anyone claiming to process the refund.
