Your husband has committed and offence of bigamy which is punishable under 494 of IPC . For the same you have to file private complaint in the JMFC Court . This is becausehe did a second marriage without giving you a divorce . Yes we can file DV matter on ground of economic abuse .

Hi Your querie is not very clear to understand but I ll try my best. Firstly if you are the second wife of your husband and he married you without dissolving his first marriage meaning his first marriage still not dissolved /got divorced then your marriage with him is a void Marriage which doesn't have any legal value. Secondly if this is the case then you can file a case of cheating not domestic violence. But if you are the first wife and your husband has got married for the second time without your knowledge and there is a mental or physical violence to you then you may file domestic violence / cheating / 498A that is cruelty etc against your husband.

First of all file a suit for interm maintenance and thereafter case under DV against your husband. As regards to the society members or the concerned u should apprise them about your difficulties and even after that they insist for payment u can file acase of criminal intimidation againt them.
