In our legal system it is frequently required that things to be done within reasonable time but it is no where defined. The concept of reasonable time is based subjective circumstances. Therefore it is a time in which work to be done conveniently and fairly e.g if a person has to refund 5k and 5lakhs, in the circumstances the reasonable time will vary. Therefore it is always based on subjective circumstances. As per sec. 20 of the Contempt of Court Act contempt can be filed within one year from the date on which the contempt alleged to have committed.

Hi, It will depend on the amount, the nature of the case and other facts and circumstances like whether it is an interim order or final order. Ideally the order should specify the time limit. You may also move the Court to give a time bound direction for payment @modification of the order.
