As per the supreme court The Hindu Succession Act was amended on 9th September, 2005 stating that if a daughter were to become a coparcener with her male siblings the father to have been alive when the amendment came into force.

Though in your case your father has expired in the year 1986 so the daughters cannot claim their right over your fathers self acquired property.

Hindu Daughters have equal share in father's self acquire property as like some . If their is any ancestral property of grand father then date of death of father will determine the share of daughters .
