The procedure for filing a case in the NGT, depending on the bench is through electronic format mode. There are a number of prior compliance's which are required to be undertaken prior to filing such a case, and proper grounds are required to be set out for the consideration of the NGT. It is possible for filing 'in-person', although the NGT prefers that the matters be filed through an advocate. Further, we would require to study and analyse the matter prior to rendering an effective advice.

FOR NGT CASE YOU SHOULD HIRE A LAWYER BECAUSE IN DAY TO DAY PROCEEDING YOU MAY FACE DIFFICULTIES AND MERELY READING AND KNOWLEDGE OF ACT DOES NOT MAKE YOU PERFECT TO HANDLE, DRAFT THE CASE AND FOR THE SAME YOU MAY REQUIRE A LAWYER'S ASSISTANCE SO YOU SHOULD CONTACT A LAWYER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE....

I would suggest you that you hire a lawyer to fight your case. Though it is possible to fight your case without a lawyer, but it is always advisable to engage a lawyer to get better results otherwise you might lose the case owing to the technical and legal issues of which you might not be aware but a lawyer is aware. Otherwise you can also contact me if you want assistance in filing the case. I will guide you. You can have my contact number from lawrato.

It is always advisable to hire a lawyer whenever pursuing any matter before any court. A litigant in person may think that he knows all the laws and facts but a lawyer is much more than just law and facts. His awareness and knowledge of legal doctrines and principles, judgements, interpretation of law, the tricks of the trade, court ethics etc. are something which are really important for any matter before any court.
Yes, one can file case before NGT without a lawyer.
