There is nothing in Hindu law called mother`ancestral property. Whatever property a Hindu woman gets from her father, mother or grand parents or by any one by way of gift becomes her absolute property. Her children or any one cannot claim that as of a right.

The question is not clear. Property laws are governed by personal laws. If you are a Hindu then, you are governed by Hindu Succession Act, 1956, then if the partition has taken prior to 2005, then you can't claim any right.

Under the law of land, you have share in the said property. Without consent of Lrs, release of share by mother has nothing to do. You better serve a legal notice upon your mother and demand your share by partition by metes and bounds, if need arises, file suit for partition.
