Legal notice from company accusing for posting inappropriate posts

My company where I used to work 10 months back send me a legal notice making me accused of section 499 & 500 stating that I have posted inappropriate posts or comments on Glassdoor or other internet websites which in reality I have not done anything like that. So can you tell me what to do for the same as they are asking for money of 5 lakhs and an apology letter?
No need to worry, you should send reply to that notice. Kindly check their website that is there any comment is posted as alleged by them. you should sent them reply with denying all the allegations.

Personal consultation is recommended however, avoid apology letter as that would be admission of the fact that you are an offender. Secondly, if you have not done any such mischief, check your records if anybody has used your system, password to do such mischief.

As sections 499 & 500 IPC will result in criminal litigation against you in the court. In my opinion You need to give reply to their legal notice mentioning that you haven't done anything as alleged. Secondly you can refer the matter for Mediation as well.
