Grandfather sold ancestral property without knowledge

My grandfather inherited land from his father which is in turn his ancestral property. My grandfather alone sold the ancestral property in 2005 without our knowledge ,he died in 2016, we came to know that he has sold the land after his death,but still the pahani is recorded in my grandfathers name, can we claim the land he has sold

Yes we can, before that there should be some information required like the details of the family members, place at which the property is located, to how many clients was the property had been sold since 2005

you can file a suit for partition as you are successor as per the section 6 of the hindu succession act and you inherit a right by birth and you can seek declaration of the title and get your share in the said land

Hi,
If the property was ancestral and you grandfather did not had the selling rights and he sold then it is wrong,It is not stated whether you Grand Father had any other brothers or sisters , All the record has to be seen to give a final answer on this , as a general presumption i can say yes you can claim if the names still exist and you are not aware of the sales what your grand father has done in his life time .
