Clarification on acquisition of property by government
06-Aug-2023 (In Civil Law)
I have 3 storeys building in roadside under construction ,now government want to acquire my our property for road development without any compensations . Government officials are saying its in reservation. So what can we do. Please help me, i put all my family's money into this.
You can approach before the Deputy Commissioner of your district regarding compensation, and if he will not help you you will file a complaint before the concerned land acquisition department of your district, if the said dept will not help me then you shall be filed a writ petition at the High Court for relief.
Was the land where your building is being constructed a periodic patta land or annual patta land? If you have constructed the building in a periodic patta land then the government cannot acquire the land without giving fair compensation to you and you may file a writ petition in the High Court for that :)
