Case if I abused my cousin on phone and he has recording of it

on land dispute, my cousin called me. and we started arguing. i lost my temper and i gave him abuses (a curse word which includes mother). he filed a police complaint against me, police sent the matter to court. he has recording of the phone call. am i in trouble? can i be jailed because of it?
Hello your matter is a case of non cognizable offence taken by police forwarded as NCR to court court may either direct police to register as FIR or convert it in to complaint so depends upon the court approach and recordings may be taken as material facts to direct FIR against you ..please consult a local lawyer do not wait FIR to be lodged and then come in action.

If ur complain is registers under saction 296 ,506 504 it is bailable offence and u can get bail direct to police station
Although in court it will going to prove little tough for another party
But first u should go for bail ---------

If the police has already lodged a FIR in the matter, you could be in trouble. In case the FIR has been lodged, file a arrest stay petition/anticipatory bail. You will not be arrested in case you prefer either of the two remedies.
