Boy child custody for father

What is the chances of a father getting custody of the boy child if the child is of 5yrs age as per hindu law?
As per law till 7 year the custody has to be given to the kither bu dafualt but under certain circumstances the father can claim custody as per the living standsrss of both the spouses and that the court will consider the welfare of the minor child and accordingly shall handvoer the custody the either spouse

Irrespective of the gender of the child the Courts tend to grant custody of the child 5 years or below to the mother. However, if the circumstances are adverse for the welfare of the child then only the custody is given to the father. till 7 years, the custody is compulsorily with the mother. later, you can file custody petition thereby demanding and claiming custody of your son.
till that if you have filed any application, you have to make an application for visitation rights
