You have to send a legal notice through lawyer to the company who has issued the cheque and give them 30 days time. After which you have to file a case. There is not fixed fee for the same it depends on the lawyer whom you have engaged.

When cheque is bounces within 30 days from cheque bounce you gave to send legal demand notice to the employer and demand money. If they don't pay in 15 days of notice then you have to file a court case to recover the money dues.

Sir/Ma'am, the course of action will depend on the signatory of the cheque. If it's a cheque issued from a individual account the case is to instituted against the individual and if the signatory is a individual who signied it on behalf if an institution it has to be filed against both.

The charges will depend in the place where the case will be instituted and that in turn will depend on where the check was dishonoured.

Dont worry . You can get your money back. We can send a notice under section 138 of negotiable instruments act. You wwill get double the amount of the cheque and the drawer of the cheque may get 2 years imprisonment.
