What is the procedure for sending a legal notice? Can I send it when a cheque is bounced?

in cheque case you need to deposit cheque in bank and after cheque bounced legal notice need to be sent with demand for money and if the person is still not paying you can file case under NI act for legally enforceable debt

cheque bouncing is a criminal liability on the issuer of the cheque and hence, it is mandatory to send the notice immediately once the cheque is bounced..
so that limitation starts and it does not further bar you from proceeding to file the criminal complaint in the magistrate court.

Sending legal notice is the first step when the cheque deposited is bounced. legal notice can be sent once you receive the Memo from the bank. It is time bound activity and need to take steps quick in order to avoid the delay.
