Time limit to file a case in the court after serving legal notice.


05-Aug-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
Legal notice is served and received by PVT ltd company on 5-7-2019 in a cheque bounced case. so far no response from the company. Now before what date i should file it in the court. please let me know.

since the notice was served on 5 July, you should file a case on or before 4 August.
it appears you crossed the time line . so better to represent the cheque and issue fresh notice. (rule is within 45 days of the date of dishonour of cheque or 30 days from receipt of notice)
