If you are unable to repay the full principal of ₹85,571 and currently only have ₹20,000, you can try negotiating a one-time settlement with your lender. Explain your financial hardship and offer the ₹20,000 as a lump-sum settlement. Keep in mind, however, that the lender is under no legal obligation to accept this amount, and they may still pursue recovery through legal channels. If you have issued any cheque that gets dishonoured, it could lead to a case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. It is strongly recommended to consult a lawyer to mediate or draft a legal proposal on your behalf to avoid further legal issues. Also, ensure you get any settlement agreement in writing if the lender agrees.

Loan settlement in one day is highly unlikely, especially when you have only ₹20,000 against a principal of ₹85,571. You may try to negotiate with the lender for a one-time settlement. Request them in writing, explain your financial hardship, and propose ₹20,000 as a full and final payment. However, they are not bound to accept it. It's advisable to involve a legal professional to help with negotiation or prepare for legal proceedings in case of default consequences like cheque bounce or recovery notice.
