My husband misusing my cheaque

I am writing this on behalf of my mother, she doesn't read/write except her sign. My dad opened business in her name and associated bank accounts where all the signatures are made by him as my mom, she didn't know what for he is doing all these, due to personal reasons my mom got separated from him, divorce not filed. He is misusing cheque of her and got bounced recently. How to tackle this as due to social pressure couldn't go for divorce and bank managers are close to him.
As the cheque is in your mother's name she has to face the consequences. Your mother will have to prove that all activities were carried out by your father and not by her, and that she has been separated. However it is better to send legal notice to your father and close all the bank accounts and the business. Further it is better to give newspaper notice regarding closure of the business.
