Loan given , got post dated cheques, dishonoured, person absconding

I am a retired person. I gave loan to a shop keeper, (Money transferred to his account through NEFT) from whom i used to buy food for stray cats & Dogs. he issued me post dated cheques, it got dishonored. The shop keeper closed the shop. I do not have his address. Have his phone number. he is not picking up my phone, Blocked me on face book. Visited bank of shop keeper, Bank Manager directed me to Police. I have lodged a complaint with police at Mira Road. What options do i have? Pl. help

Sir if the amount that you have given is considerable the try to track down his number. You can take help of telecom experts. If he has opened a new shop or started a new venture then you can catch hold of him. Then you can ask for settlement or file a cheque bounce case, issue summons and arrest him through orders of court if does not appear through issuance of non bailable warrant from Court. But make sure you are able to trace down his current place.

Dear querist youhave to find out the alternates oof finding the address to seek a remedy under Section 138 of NI Act in the alternate you have to file a Complaint before the Magistrate for offences committed under IPCif the police is not ready to lodge a FIR.
