Legal notice received due to cheque bounce

Due to my mistake the cheque given to opposition party was bounced.they have send me notice how to defend
Contact the opposite party and convince them about your mistake. If you are having legal liability to pay the debts to opposite party you need to make payment within 15 days from the date of receipt of the said notice. Otherwise opposite party may file a complaint against you in court.
