Hello, Firstly send him a Legal Notice stating therein that the Cheque given by him has been Bounced and inspite of repeated requests and reminders he is not making the payments and ask him to pay the amount within 15 days of receipt of the notice failing which you will initiate appropriate legal proceedings against him. if He doesn't pays teh amount file a Legal Complaint under Section 138 of the NI Act.

Meet as soon as possible with a lawyer and send him a legal notice for the above given factual condition and direct home to pay the actual money with intrest and other misc charge.
Do it as soon as possible because from date of cheque bouncing your limitation to file claim in judicial courts was started .

my dear friend, you as you have stated that cheque has been bounced so, first you can give a notice and demand your money as mentioned in cheque , as per provision of the negotiable instrument act 1981. the notice to be given within 30 days from the date of dishonored of the cheque and after 15 days of receipt of notice if you are not receiving the money file a complaint under section 138 of the NI ACT before competent court.
