Is it necessary to appear personally in the first summons itself. Can my lawyer appear and ask for an adjournment. Is anticipatory bail also necessary

The case can be pleaded by Advocate. The case tries by Magistrate court. During the cross examination only the person appearance is needed. The relevant sections is 138 of NIA. Notice should be sent prior.
