Hello dear sir/madaam.. Dis s fazil here.. One person took 1,70,000 from us by offering a job.. He told within 10 days i will get a job.. It was about 7 jun 2018.. But still i dint get any job.. I asked him to return my money.. He gave me a cheque of 2,00,000 on 5 dec 2018.. But it was bounced.. We asked him regardng dat.. He apologized n told he will return d mny very soon.. Dats y we dint file any case against him. It is 11 feb 2019 today.. Still i dint get any amount.. Now i have decided to file a case against him.. Can i file a case .??? Plz suggest me.. Waitng for ur reply...

you should present the cheque again at your bank and issue legal notice under 138 NI act. thereafter within 30 days from legal notice, you should file a case under section 138 NI act in criminal court.
parallely you should also file a cheating case under 420IPC at nearest police station.
both these cases are necessary for you to recover your money.
