How to recover money legally lent on friendly basis

a person asked for economical help for 145000 and he gave same amount of cheque ,and said that he will return the money within given period.But now he is unwilling to pay the money.when he was taking the money he also wrote on the paper and signed that if he is not paying the money he will be liable of the rules.

If payment was made through cheque and he has given u written undertaking for returning the money then you have remedy under IPC as he is liable for breach of trust. First give a notice asking thereby to return the money and thereafter if he failed then approach the court.
